What's the difference between volunteering or interning with The Blind Cafe?
Volunteering with The Blind Cafe @ Blind Cafe Headquarters in Boulder, CO or virtually is usually a short-term commitment of 5 to 20+ hours a week, 2 - 6 weeks leading up to a shows event dates, supporting in executing pre-event planning tasks, event marketing / promotions and other awesome happenings!
Volunteering with The Blind Cafe @ the shows involve event setup, food preparation/service and and running front of the house. Volunteers get to eat and experience the show at the volunteer table in the dark.
Interning with The Blind Cafe is usually a 4, 6, or 10 week commitment of a minimum of 25 or 40 hours a week and designed provide you with some real time experience working in a unique positive social change organization that's exploring the frontier of using the concept of engaging people socially in 100% darkness, with positive arts, music and entertainment, can educate people on how to relate socially with more compassion, understanding and self-awareness. Our internships may or may not have a stipend depending on the time of the year.

WINTER/SPRING 2018 IN BOULDER, CO
The 4 - 10-week Blind Cafe Internship Program takes place every February - April or May at our headquarters at the foot of the Colorado Rocky Mountains in Boulder, CO. The program is a full 30 - 35 hours/5 days per week. Interns are expected to be available for the full duration of the internship session. ( Virtual internships may be considered. )
SUMMER 2018 IN BOULDER, CO
The 6 - 10-week Blind Cafe Internship Program takes place every summer starting early June, at our headquarters at the foot of the Colorado Rocky Mountains in Boulder, CO. The program is a full 40 hours/5 days per week. Interns are expected to be available for the full duration of the internship session.
JOIN AN INSPIRING TEAM
Intern classes are made up of 8–12 people with some leadership, service and/or corporate experience. Applicants can be of any age or back-ground, you just have to have these three things. 1. You want it! 2. You 'get it' (i.e. you share that value of helping to create magic moments) and 3. You have the Capacity to do it, meaning you got skills or can learn the skills to execute at a high quality level.
Also encouraged to apply, senior year at a four-year university or have just graduated at the time of starting the program. Current graduate students are also highly encouraged to apply. Current CU Boulder and Naropa University students with internship credits are encouraged to apply.

You'll have a direct hand in helping to shape and grow; The Blind Cafe Social Impact Experience programs, BC Performing Artists Development, discover social impact int the dark strategies while learning about touring & pop-up event productions, promotions, marketing, podcast production, music business /industry & social entrepreneurship business development.

BlindCafe Interns get the opportunity to work in business areas that fit their interests and skills, while participating in a small, unique entrepreneurial team dedicated to supporting each other in getting what needs to be done, completed at a high level of organization and execution, thus help deliver the 'Blind Cafe Magic' with more depth, connection and social value to the people we engage.
